A Different Way to Train

In many fitness spaces—especially traditional or competitive CrossFit gyms—the unspoken message is that more is always better. Push harder. Lift heavier. Don’t stop.

Instead of assuming every day should be max effort, we invite our members to check in with how they’re feeling each day—and choose their workout intensity accordingly. Our system uses three colors: White, Gold, and Black—each representing a different intention for how you show up.

Listening to Your Body—Not Ignoring It

White can be used if you’re new and want a gentle intro to CrossFit or if you are needing more of a recovery day. This color is all about light movement and slower pacing. Maybe you're sore. Maybe you’re exhausted. Maybe your brain is fried and just getting to the gym was the win. White allows you to stay consistent without breaking yourself down.

Gold is moderate effort—think steady, sustainable work. You’re moving with purpose, but you’re not pushing to the edge. These days are ideal for building consistency, reinforcing skill, and improving aerobic capacity.

Black means it’s go time. You’re rested, focused, and ready to bring the fire. Black is for days when you're prepared to lift heavier, push intensity, and test your capacity—but only when your body and mind are aligned and ready.

All three colors are valid. All three are essential to smart, well-rounded training. No color is “better” than another—because your best training happens when you’re honest about where you are.
